Sunday, February 12th was devoted to developing love in the body of Bethany. The specific focus was on “Loving the Hurting,” and all were reminded that God commands us to “bear one another’s burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ” (Gal. 6:2). Thirteen hour-long workshops were offered to equip God’s people in caring for those who suffer, with topics ranging from illness and pain, marriage difficulties, parenting, women’s matters, conflict, same-sex attraction, and anxiety and depression. Our morning service featured Missionary Curt Jones who spoke from Psalm 88, reminding us that God uses suffering to take us from where we are to where He wants us to be. (If you missed it, listen to the sermon here.)
